A cost-effective and versatile printer for small offices, the HP OfficeJet Pro 7720 A3 Colour Wide Inkjet MFC Printer delivers high-quality colour printing up to A3 size. This printer is a solid choice for busy offices and small teams producing professional-looking brochures, presentations, and other marketing materials — such as those in architecture, graphic design, engineering, and advertising.

As well as going wide (you can produce borderless prints up to A3 size), this printer is fast — when you print A4 documents, you can churn out up to 22 pages per minute (mono) or 18 per minute (colour). You get automatic two-sided (duplex) printing and a 250-sheet paper tray for fewer trips back and forth on your next big print job. You can fax, scan and copy, and a 35-page automatic document feeder helps make large scanning or copying tasks less time-consuming. Additionally, you can print wirelessly from your smartphone or tablet, even when no network is available.

The HP OfficeJet Pro 7720 is ready for HP+ if you want to join the programme (you decide when setting up the printer). HP+ includes an extended two-year warranty and enhanced security features, and you get complimentary Instant Ink for three months. But it requires you to set up an HP account, have an ongoing connection to the internet (your printer won’t work without it), and exclusively use genuine HP Ink cartridges.

The 7720 uses HP 955 (standard yield) and HP 955XL (high-yield) ink cartridges, delivering up to 2,000 pages per cartridge (mono) and 1,600 pages per colour cartridge. Currently, there are no third-party compatible inks available on the market.

If you need the extra oomph, you might want to consider the HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 instead. It is more expensive, naturally, but you get double the paper capacity, split between two trays, and you can also scan at up to tabloid size (297 x 432mm).

When to expect delivery:

Get your order fast! Place it before 2 pm Mon-Fri for same-day shipping from warehouses in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch (excluding public holidays). Typically deliveries to major New Zealand towns and cities take 1 to 2 days, while it may take a day or two longer for rural areas. Delivery of oversized printers that are too heavy for normal courier delivery is done by Mainfreight and may take a little longer on occasions. You’ll be notified when your order has been dispatched and provided with a tracking number so you can monitor the progress of your order.
