If you’re in the market for a mono wireless multifunction printer, the Kyocera ECOSYS M2735dw deserves a place on your list. This is one of the most reliable and fastest models we’ve seen, printing up to 35 pages per minute in A4 size, with a time to first copy of just 6.9 seconds. With sharp and accurate prints at up to 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution and exceptionally low printing costs, it’s a prudent and cost-effective choice.

The ECOSYS M2735dw can print, scan, copy and fax double-sided documents, and has a low-noise mode so it won’t disturb your workplace when printing. It has a recommended monthly print volume of 1,000-2,500 pages (20,000 maximum), making it a good option for small to mid-sized offices. Although it is not small, it is compact enough to fit most workspaces, while still providing all the features you need in a powerful mono multifunction printer.

To get started, connect it to your home or office network via Ethernet, wireless, or Wi-Fi Direct or to a computer via USB. A 10.9 cm touchscreen lets you access and control the printer, and you can also print directly from a flash drive. You can also print and scan from your mobile using AirPrint, Mopria, or Kyocera Mobile Print, and you can email scanned documents from the printer to a remote device.

Included is a 50-sheet automatic document feeder, and two paper trays (standard and multipurpose) with a total 350-sheet capacity. Add up to two optional paper trays (PF-1100) to increase paper capacity to 850 sheets. The A4 flatbed scanner has a maximum 600 x 600 dpi resolution and scanning speeds of up to 40 images per minute (ipm) in mono at 300 dpi (23 ipm for colour). The copying function allows the reduction and enlarging of images, including copying two-sided ID cards onto a single sheet of paper. There is also a Super G3 modem with speeds up to 33.6 Kbps for fast transmission times.

As part of Kyocera’s ECOSYS range, the M2735dw is designed to be energy-efficient and economical, helping you reduce carbon emissions and save money in the long run. Components such as the drum and fuser units are designed to last; for instance, the imaging drum (DK-1150) will print up to 100,000 pages. Once you’ve exhausted the starter-size toner supplied with your new printer, you’ll want to fill up with Kyocera TK-1184 toner — with a page yield of up to 3,000 pages, this adds up to a very low cost per page.

When to expect delivery:

Get your order fast! Place it before 2 pm Mon-Fri for same-day shipping from warehouses in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch (excluding public holidays). Typically deliveries to major New Zealand towns and cities take 1 to 2 days, while it may take a day or two longer for rural areas. Delivery of oversized printers that are too heavy for normal courier delivery is done by Mainfreight and may take a little longer on occasions. You’ll be notified when your order has been dispatched and provided with a tracking number so you can monitor the progress of your order.
