The Brother HLL2375dw is a cost-effective, easy-to-use laser printer that only prints black and white. It won’t scan, copy or fax. The next step up from the HLL2310d, this printer comes with wireless and Ethernet connectivity, and cloud-based printing from mobile devices (using Apple AirPrint, Cortado Cloud Print, and Mopria). You also get faster printing speeds — up to 34 pages per minute.

In all other respects, there’s not much to tell the two Brothers apart. Both are compact desktop printers, and they look identical — they even share the same dimensions and weight. The HLL2375dw comes with more memory (64MB) and an LCD rather than LED display, and print resolution is higher at 1200 x 1200 dpi.

Like its sibling, the HLL2375dw will happily print up to 2,000 pages a month, automatically printing them double-sided when wanted. And it does so just as quietly — just load up the 250-sheet paper tray, and let it get to work.

For a mono laser printer, the cost per page is relatively expensive but only if you choose the standard-yield Brother TN-2415 toner replacement. It’s considerably less if you use the higher-yield Brother TN-2445 cartridge (which will keep you going for an estimated 3,000 pages). For even greater savings, there’s also third-party compatible TN-2445 high-yield toner.

The printer’s LCD display will let you know when you need to replace toner or when you need a new DR2415 printer drum (the two are separate, which reduces your cost). And, yes, less expensive third-party printer drums are also available.

If you are looking for an inexpensive and reliable mono laser printer, chances are you’ll like the Brother HLL2375dw.
