The MFC-J6940dw is Brother’s mid-range A4/A3 colour inkjet printer, with a lot to offer if you need a cost-effective 4-in-1 inkjet that can print (and scan) at up to A3 size. In addition to A3-size double-sided printing, you also get double-sided scanning and copying at A3-size.

This model shares many features in common with the MFC-J5740dw, including an 8.3cm touchscreen LCD display, a 50-sheet automatic document feeder, two 250-sheet paper trays and a 100-sheet multi-purpose tray. As well as copy, scan and fax, you can print at speeds that rival a laser printer — up to 28 ipm (in black and white, as well as in colour). And, like Brother’s other A3 printers, the MFC-J6940dw printer can handle the same heavy print load you expect from a laser — it has a recommended monthly print volume of 250-2,500 pages.

The MFC-J6940dw comes with NFC (Near Field Communication) which lets you tap and print directly from your mobile device. Additionally, you can connect and print via wireless, Wi-Fi Direct, Ethernet and USB 2.0. Cloud printing is also supported, as are Apple AirPrint, Mopria, and Brother’s mobile print apps.

When you need more ink, this printer takes black, cyan, magenta, and yellow LC432 or LC432XL cartridges. Choose the high-yield version (LC432XL) to get even more prints out of each cartridge. You can save money by using third-party compatible LC432XL inks or Value Pack bundles of standard-yield or high-yield cartridges.

When to expect delivery:

Get your order fast! Place it before 4 pm Mon-Fri for same-day shipping from warehouses in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch (excluding public holidays). Typically deliveries to major New Zealand towns and cities take 1 to 2 days, while it may take a day or two longer for rural areas. Delivery of oversized printers that are too heavy for normal courier delivery is done by Mainfreight and may take a little longer on occasions. You’ll be notified when your order has been dispatched and provided with a tracking number so you can monitor the progress of your order.
