HP’s LaserJet Pro MFP M234dw mono laser printer is compact enough that it won’t take up much desk space, yet it still packs the features you need in a home or small office printer. This efficient all-in-one will let you scan, copy and print (at speeds of up to 21-30 pages per minute, according to HP). And, like all printers in the M234 series, it comes with wireless connectivity along with a 150-sheet input tray and a 100-sheet output tray. But you’ll have to scan and copy one page at a time as it doesn’t have an automatic document feeder (for that, you need the M234sdw), nor is this an HP+ printer (like the M234dwe and M234sdwe).

HP+ isn’t for everyone but it does give you features such as a complimentary Instant Ink subscription, enhanced security, and an extended warranty. Of course, there’s a catch — for one thing, you must always use genuine HP (not compatible) toner. If you don’t need or want HP+, then this printer (or the M234sdw) will be best for you. It is enabled for Instant Ink if you want to try out HP’s ink and toner delivery service (you can cancel at anytime). If you are not using Instant Ink, you need to order HP 134A or higher-yield 134X toner cartridges, and you’ll get clean, professional-looking documents, with sharp, crisp text. You also have the option to use third-party compatible toner if you want to save on printing costs.

When to expect delivery:

Get your order fast! Place it before 2 pm Mon-Fri for same-day shipping from warehouses in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch (excluding public holidays). Typically deliveries to major New Zealand towns and cities take 1 to 2 days, while it may take a day or two longer for rural areas. Delivery of oversized printers that are too heavy for normal courier delivery is done by Mainfreight and may take a little longer on occasions. You’ll be notified when your order has been dispatched and provided with a tracking number so you can monitor the progress of your order.
