The HP Colour LaserJet Pro M454dw is a wireless A4 colour laser printer that will meet the needs of small and medium-sized businesses needing to print professional-quality documents in colour as well as mono. It prints at speeds of up to 27 pages per minute (colour and mono), with excellent image quality at up to 600 x 600 dpi.

The printer’s standard paper capacity is 300 sheets, split between a 250-sheet tray and a 50-sheet multipurpose tray; this, however, can be increased to 850 sheets with the optional 550-sheet paper tray (CF404A). It offers standard connectivity options such as USB 2.0, Ethernet, and dual-band Wi-Fi while also supporting mobile printing with Apple AirPrint, Mopria, HP ePrint, and other apps. You can also print directly from a flash drive.

The M454dw features a 6.8 cm colour touchscreen for easy operation and is designed to be energy efficient (using less than a watt of power in sleep mode). Its recommended monthly print volume is 750- 4,000 pages (and a maximum of 50,000).

The printer requires HP 416A (standard-yield) or HP 416X (high-yield) toner. The toner is integrated with the drum unit, with the standard yield producing up to 2,400 pages (black) or 2,100 pages (cyan, magenta, and yellow). It is more economical to purchase high-yield cartridges (up to 7,500 pages black; 6,000 pages colour), and third-party compatible high-yield toner offers a considerable price break.
